THE FEATHERS, Ludlow, Shropshire

This ornate example is probably the world's most famous and photographed timber-framed building. It was radically rebuilt about 1619, the balcony being a 19th century addition. Its front is richly carved. It became an inn in 1670 and has been a hotel for many years.
