General View of the First Floor Timbering, 1998 House
This house in Shropshire was being built in 1998 near Clee Hill village in Shropshire. The first floor is of brick but the first floor is timber-framed. The small horizontal spacing between the posts (vertical timbers) is in the style of the south-east of England, rather than the Midlands where greater spacing is more common, giving square infill panels. See also the companion picture in the Picture Gallery showing details of the timbering. |
